About D J Presson
D J Presson spent twenty-five successful years with a phone glued to her ear, a computer in her lap, and a flight to catch chasing after business, speaking truth to power, mentoring women in her sphere of influence, and fighting against female stereotypes in business. D J is a self-made woman with multi-faceted experiences in life. From a rich man’s muse in her 20’s – when life was a breeze and all she had to do was look perfect spending time and money in luxurious locales around the world to working as a caterer and chef in an effort to follow her bliss; from marketing and sales in luxury Florida real estate in her 30’s to the dénouement of her business career when she worked as a consultant in the insurance industry, D J has always, inevitably, lived life on her own terms.
After stumbling into the insurance industry in 1996 and finding a receptive business for her insatiable appetite for building close relationships that impact the lives of everyday working people, a nearly 20-year career ensued, watching as an insider as massive changes in the insurance industry took hold, until the day finally arrived when she knew that she could no longer abide the hypocrisy, she threw up her hands and accepted her company’s early retirement offer and moved to a home in the mountains of North Carolina and began chasing her dream of writing novels.
She is the author of two books, The Broker, and The Outcasts of Eden, and is currently at work on her third novel, The Heritage.
